I just bought a 2001 1720 Key West athlete with johnson 90hp. Planning freshwater and saltwater fishing. Minn Kota Riptide looking. 40 pounds of thrust. know the equation on how to find. mainly concerned about the length. suggestions?
Assuming you get on the front, all you need to ensure the head is completely immersed motor and turning the head opens the shell. Good luck and happy surfing
